Cumbria LINk
At the end of March we have 664 members involved in our LINk and the more people that join us the stronger and more influential the LINk will become. There are a number of ways to get involved that allow you to choose the level of commitment that works best for you. You can fill in our registration form online here.
You can sign up to receive regular bulletins that will let you know what the LINk is doing. The Bulletins will also let you know the ways you can contribute to pieces of work of interest to you that may be a survey, on line poll or joining in with a task and complete group. You can download our bulletins here.
You may have more time and would like to get involved more regularly with specific issues, in which case a you can sign up to be involved with Task and Complete Groups. They meet to look at a specific issue, do what work is necessary then report their recommendations to the LINk Governing Body.
All LINks have powers to enter and view places where health and social care services are delivered to check on the quality of services. We have a team of authorised visitors who undergo CRB checks and specific training to support them in this role. You can sign up to be part of this team.
You can put yourself forward for election to the Governing Body. This happens once a year in Sept/Oct. This group meets regularly and they are the final decision makers of the LINk. They also use the powers of the LINk to make the Commissioners and Providers of services take notice of what the LINk memebrs have to say.
Or you can simply contribute to the on line polls and surveys we post on this web site.
